Darts Marathon update ! WE DID IT !!!
Well done everyone…..
The Prize Draw has raised £583
Super Luke….. The 24hr barman collected £58.01 in his bucket.
Well done Luke !
Still waiting on sponsorship totals, but will keep you updated as the money comes in. A great big THANKS to everyone who has donated, sponsored, played darts, and supplied us with food.

Going to display photos on the screens tonight, as its no rules Sunday, I might just get away with it….. Disco, Karaoke, and a chance to see just who did fall asleep !

Draw Tickets now on sale !

The draw tickets for the 24hr darts marathon are now on sale. They can be purchased from the bar. More and more prizes are now coming in, and are on display in the pubs window.

To date, in addition to the top 3 prizes we now have (in no particular order):

A mens gift set – Garners Pharmacy, A £25 Meat voucher from J&M Rowlands Butchers, Famous grouse whisky, Celebrations, a DVD player, £10 – AAA Chinese, Warres Warrier port, bottles of wine & champagne

As the 4th prize in the draw we have a Dartboard signed by Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams, Lakeside world professional champion 2007. The board has been signed on the back, when Wolfie was here earlier in the year for a darts presentation. Comes with a photo to authenticate !

24hr darts Marathon

We are hosting a 24hr darts marathon on the 11th July 2008, to raise money for Snaith Community Playing Fields Association.

We are hosting a 24hr darts marathon on the 11th July 2008, to raise money for Snaith Community Playing Fields Association. Following the success of last year’s event, which saw 16 players playing darts for a full 24 hours, all sponsored by friends and family, and raised over £2000 for charity.
The same format is taking place this year, and we all hope to beat last years total

Paul Auty has been a big help this year by using his business contacts to donate cash and prizes to the Grand Draw that we are running. Tickets will soon be on sale and a display of prizes will be on show in our Christmas/Halloween window!

1st prize – iPod classic 80g

2nd prize – digital camera & printer

3rd prize £50 of vouchers

And many more prizes which will be on display as we receive them.

We have also contacted a lot of local businesses and asked them this year to support us by donating prizes, selling draw tickets, or simply displaying a poster – a full list of everyone who has helped and supported us this year will be publicly available. If you wish to help out or support this worthwhile cause, please contact Chris @ The Plough, or simply sponsor one of the darts players!

Darts and Dominoes League

The Plough Inn had a recent victory in the 2007/8 Snaith and district Darts & Dominoes League. Although we did not win either the darts of dominoes, the join scores mean that we topped the league overall, Winning the aggregate.

The presentation evening held at Drax Club, was attended by a group from the pub where we also watched Simon & Michael Curtis win the darts doubles, and Simon Curtis go on to win the darts singles trophy. Overall an enjoyable evening, which saw the Plough Inn walk away with a shed load of trophies, and awards.

A reward is offered for the safe return of the aggregate shield……. which seems to have mysteriously disappeared!!!
